Final Post

I had mixed reviews about this project. Overall I thought it was enriching experience, but to be honest it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had imagined. But that’s primarily my fault. I felt like the topic I chose, though interesting, was tedious and repetitive. Looking back on my alternatives I wish I had chosen something that was more entertaining, and would’ve involved a better, more engaging presentation. However, I still would say I enjoyed this project. It was more intriguing than gifted projects in the path. It was also a lot less required work than gifted projects, but I ended up putting in a lot more time than other projects.

As for the experience of genius hour project outside of mine personally, I found it very interesting to see other people’s projects, and it was very interesting to see what projects other people undertook and to read people’s blogs. I Felt like I really learned a lot about my classmates and their interests. IT was really impressive to see what many pothers final projects accumulated to.

I’m a little disappointed that this project didn’t turn out better. I thought I had high expectations when it started and my high sights didn’t materialize as I had envisioned. I felt like it was definitely one of my weaker presentations in gifted. Nevertheless, I still believe that this was a worthwhile project, and I would definitely like to do it again, however I would change a few aspects. The main one would be my topic, I probably would have chosen something more fun to work on and less tedious. I think that would have also made my project better as a whole, as I might’ve gotten more into it. But I do think a business plan still proved as a valuable learning experience and there were definitely many benefits to going down the path. Assuming I had stayed on this topic, one of my main changes would have been to first find the website I wanted to submit my information on, and then started constructing the plan. This wouldn’t have left me with as much extraneous information, as I decided to choose Gust.com the last week of the project and ended up not needing a majority of the information I gathered.

Though this project didn’t meet my personal expectations, I enjoyed several steps of it along the way and feel like I learned a considerable amount. I am glad I was able to partake in this project.

Blog Post 5.5

Ok so as stated previously my goal was to post a link and then everyone could view it. Sadly with the site I had used (gust.com) it's not as public as I had thought. You have to create an account as an investor to see the full profile. When you create the account you can search PFDL (Professional Football Developmental League) and my plan should come up. However, for thon  se who can't or don't want to make an account, I will post pictures and links.
